Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026

Plain-English terms for using Ledger. Please read them before creating an account.

1. About Ledger

Ledger is budgeting and money-tracking software. Ledger is not a regulated financial adviser and does not provide financial, investment or debt advice within the meaning of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Figures and suggestions are for guidance only. For free debt advice, contact MoneyHelper or StepChange.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or over and live in the UK. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised access. You're responsible for the accuracy of information you enter.

3. Plans and pricing

  • Free: core tracking, free forever.
  • Pro: £3.99/month for the first 3 months (launch offer), then £5.99/month, or £59.90/year.
  • Pro+: £7.99/month for the first 3 months (launch offer), then £9.99/month, or £89.91/year.

Prices include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.

4. Free trial and renewal

Paid plans may start with a 7-day free trial. Unless cancelled before it ends, your subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel any time in Settings; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day cooling-off period from your first payment to cancel for a full refund.

6. Open banking

Bank connections are provided by an FCA-authorised account information service provider. Access is read-only, lasts 90 days and can be revoked at any time. Ledger cannot make payments or move money.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Ledger: no attempts to access other users' data, reverse-engineer security, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Liability

We work hard to keep Ledger accurate and available but can't guarantee it will be error-free. We're not liable for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.

9. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions? Email support@ledgeruk.app.
